Larry married Joy Hoggatt, the love of his life, on February 24, 1963 in Neodesha, KS. Fellow horsepullers that began as friends also became family and Larry passed on his love of horsepulling to his son, Justin who continues the family tradition.
Larry enjoyed watching the Royals and the Chiefs but most of all loved watching his grandkids compete in sports and FFA. He spent his entire life in Thayer and he loved his community dearly and they will miss him and his hugs.
