On Tuesday, August 13, 2019, Janice (Jan) Kay Fisher-Brandon-Uhl, loving sister and mother of three children, passed away at the age of 74.
Jan was born on September 10, 1944 in Wheatland, Missouri to H. J. (Jay) and Jewel (Johnson) Fisher. She graduated Erie High School Class of 1962. She also attended Neosho County Community College.
She married Spencer Brandon June 18, 1961, they raised/ Co-Parented after divorcing in 1977 two sons, Tim and Todd, and one daughter Tammy. Jan married Melvin Uhl December 26, 1980.
Jan had a passion for all sports as she was a coach and mentor to many for years. While in high school she was a drum majorette, she also had adventurous side, she was a fire baton twirler. She loved her church and community, she was very involved, as she sat on numerous boards. She was very talented, to create extraordinary art. Favorite hobbies - crafting, embroidery, cooking. She was much admired for her cooking by friends and family, always a favorite at church as well as work potlucks. Avid music lover and loved dancing. She was known for her love of God and family, quick wit, infectious smile, beautiful blue eyes, and her kind and compassionate spirit.
Jan was preceded in death by her father, H. J. (Jay), and mother, Jewel Fisher; husband Melvin Uhl. She is survived by her three children, Tim Brandon and wife, Tammie, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, daughter Tammy Schillings and husband, Pat, of the home Tulsa, Oklahoma, Todd Brandon, Chanute, Kansas; one sister Sandy Goltry and husband, Rod, of Burneyville, Oklahoma; niece Kim Durst and husband, Terry; nephew Jason Goltry and wife, Carmen; cousin Russ Johnson and wife, Karen; cousin Sheryl Spradley; 12 grandchildren: Ashely, Amber, Kelsey, Lindsey, Kaylee, Chandler, Todd-Jay, Cameron, Haylee, Cheyenne, Bailey, Brianna; 18 great-grandchildren with one on the way; numerous nieces and nephews.
As per Jan’s wishes a celebration of life to be held at a later date by invitation.
