Rural Colony suspect considered dangerous
A suspect who led Humboldt and Allen County officers on an eight-mile chase late Monday afternoon before crashing his vehicle remained at large on Tuesday. He has been identified as Garrett Grimm Cleaver, 26, 6-1 and 180 pounds, of rural Colony.
“He is armed with an assault-type rifle and should be considered dangerous,” Allen County Sheriff Tom Williams told the Iola Register.

Chanute USD 413 Superintendent James Hardy alerted parents late Wednesday afternoon that schools had been evacuated because “there may have been a threat of a bomb.”
