City of Chanute to launch new website

City Finance Director Rebecca Wood said the city staff finished training on Thursday, but it will take time to load content onto pages.
Wood said the new website will be more interactive. The new website will link with Chanute’s Facebook page and allow the city to push updates from the website to Facebook.

Main Street reports facelift improvements
Main Street Chanute, Inc. documented many improvements in the Main Street District over the last year.
A total of $20,625 was invested in Facade Improvements. $10,405 of that money was funded by an FHLBank, Topeka Joint Opportunities For Building Success grant that was awarded to Main Street Chanute, Inc. Some improvements were made by the building owners without using any money from this grant.
