Chanute native Tim Erickson, 54, has joined the Tribune as a general assignment reporter effective Monday, August 20. Erickson worked at the Tribune as a photographer under Dave LaBelle before transferring to the Ottawa Herald as chief photographer. ERIE — Property owners in Erie will see only a slight increase in taxes to support the city’s 2013 budget. The Erie City Council approved on a unanimous vote the city budget for next year following a public hearing during a regular meeting August 13.
