The Red Pepper has moved to a new location on S. Santa Fe.
Their last day of business on Main Street was March 23, and the first day at their new location inside Pump n’ Pete’s at Southtown at 2110 S. Santa Fe was March 30.
Owner Carla Tabares said there were multiple reasons for the move.

Recently elected Chanute City Commissioner Tim Erickson remains atop the candidates for a commission seat after Neosho County Commissioners on Thursday canvassed the April 2 city/school general election.

The Chanute Library Board took care of some spring bookkeeping Wednesday by making changes to its bylaws and voting to reappoint its two top board members.

Lois Elaine Nichols, formerly of Wichita, has brought her photography studio to Chanute.
“I was a photographer in the Wichita area since 2004,” she said.

At its April regular meeting Monday, the USD 413 School Board approved a makeup day due to cancellations from snow.
