Spending broken down for NCCC softball project
Joshua Vail Tribune Reporter On Tuesday, NCCC President Dr. Inbody filled in some blanks about the new softball field project. Inbody said the total budgeted cost of the project is about $516,000. That total is being paid by donations, student fee accounts, and the general fund. A total of $180,000 is coming out of that student fee. Vehicle drives into Santa Fe Lake
On Monday at 6:40 p.m. officers with the Chanute Police Department were dispatched to Santa Fe Lake in regards to a vehicle in the water. Raymond Hale, public information officer, said upon arrival they discovered that a vehicle with one occupant had left the roadway and driven over the fence barrier into the lake. An injury crash occurred at 10:40 p.m. Saturday at 35th and Plummer. The Neosho County Sheriff’s Department said Craig Powers, Thayer, was southbound on Plummer, driving a 2007 Dodge Truck, and dropped a couple of tires off the road.
