County, state unemployment rates drop
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for Kansas dropped slightly last month while the jobless rate in Neosho County fell by 1.2 percent. According to a Kansas Department of Labor report, the unemployment rate throughout the state was 5.8 percent in April, a decline from 6.6 percent in March and from 6.3 percent in April 2011.
