Oren T. “Tom” Johnson, 66, of El Dorado, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at the Chanute Health Care Center.
Tom was born in Chanute on Nov. 4, 1946, the son of Oren Franklin and Martha Jane Drake Johnson. He grew up on a farm in Wilson County and was graduated from Midway High School in 1964. He attended NCCJC and then moved to California to work.

Donald Eugene Swartz 1935-2012
Donald Eugene Swartz, 77, Buckner, Mo., died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012 at his home. He was born Sept. 1, 1935 in Fort Scott, the son of Walter Lawrence and Ruby Gladys Prettyman Swartz.
After high school he was enlisted in the United States Marines. On Oct. 14, 1963 in Kingsville, Mo., he married Sharon Gale Tanner. She survives, of the home.

Betty V. Greve, 74, of Erie, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012 at her home.
Betty was born in Oroville, Calif., on Feb. 6, 1938, the daughter of Robert C. and Betty V. Allred Greer. She graduated from Altoona High School in May 1956.
