Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 23 at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel in Chanute.

Mary Ann Delaney, 80, Fredonia, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. She was born March 24, 1929 in New Albany, the daughter of George A. and Hazel Cooley Young. She was a homemaker and farm wife.

Maxine L. Koch, 83, formerly of Fort Scott, more recently of Fort Scott Manor, died Friday, July 17, 2009, at Mercy Health Center.
She was born Aug. 3, 1925, in Beaverton, Mich., to Herbert and Linnie Smith French.
She married Robert Lester Koch on April 7, 1946, in Bell, Calif. He survives and resides at Fort Scott Manor.
She had been employed with the Chanute JC Penney and Fort Scott Wal-Mart.

He was born in Clark County, Mo., to William Waller, and Hattie Clasby Waller.
