Herman Anderes, 68, of Erie, went to be with the Lord after a two-year battle with cancer on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 at Labette Health in Parsons. He was led to the Lord by Brother Pefley.

Kenny was born July 16, 1950 in Walnut, a son of Raymond and Louise McClelland Coester. Kenny and his family moved to Brazilton in 1955 where he attended District 12 School through the 8th grade and graduated from Girard High School in 1968.

Freddie W. Manly, 68, Arkansas City, retired trackman for the Santa Fe Railroad, and United States Army Veteran, joined his parents and siblings Jan. 25, 2013.

Vyrl “Dean” Evans went to his heavenly home on Jan. 24, 2013 in Derby.
He was born on Dec. 18, 1927 in Chanute, to Tom and Edith Crowl Evans.
Vyrl served his country in the U.S. Army and was a WWII veteran.
After the army, Dean worked for the Kansas Dept of Transportation in Chanute for 44 years.

Patricia Ruth “Pat” Bauer, 86, of Palatka, Fla., died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 at her home. She was born May 13, 1926 in Buffalo, the daughter of Daniel Douglas and Ora Pearl Bartels Follmer. Pat was a bookkeeper for much of her life and a homemaker.

Vyrl “Dean” Evans, 85, of Derby, formerly of Chanute, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 at the Heartland Hospice in Mulvane.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28 at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel in Chanute.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
