Lola Lorene Mann, 89, Moran, died Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, at Heritage Health Care in Chanute.
She was born May 6, 1920, in Moran to Arthur Glen and Martha Esther Reynolds Jackson. She grew up in the Mildred area and graduated from Mildred High School.
She worked in the aviation plants in Wichita during World War II.

James A. Lucas, 90, formerly of Chanute, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009, in St. Louis, Mo.
He was born Dec. 2, 1918, in Danville, Ark., to Maude E. (Burch) and Marvin E. Lucas. He attended schools in Danville.
He was in the wholesale candy business before entering service in 1942 and served in the Army Air Force.

Victory R. Williams 63, Cherokee, died Tuesday July 21, 2009 following a long illness at his home.
Victory was born August 14, 1945 in Belfonte, Ark., to Floyd Haskell and Faye Modiena McDonald Williams. He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended area schools in Labette County.
