Edna T. Welch, 91, longtime Vinita, Okla., resident, died Sunday, July 26, 2009.
She was born June 17, 1918, in Walnut to Charles and Lucy O’Brien Boaz. She attended Chanute Junior College and became a school teacher.
In 1945 she married Warren Phillip Welch. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Catholic Church.

Howard Lee Lambert, 74, died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 27, 1935, in Neosho Rapids to Leo A. and Virginia Wilson Lambert. He graduated from Hartford High School in 1953.
He married Dixie Lee Webster on July 18, 1961, in Miami, Okla. She died on April 27, 1991.
He was employed as a Xerox service technician with Doss-Price in southeast Kansas for more than 25 years, retiring in 1995.

Thomas Carl Maloney, 80, longtime local resident, died Thursday, July 23, 2009.
He was born Aug. 6, 1928, in rural Chanute to Gwendolyn Alpha Daughty and Carl Thomas Maloney.
He married Delores Ann Phillips, also of Chanute, in 1949. She survives.

Victory R. Williams 63, Cherokee, died Tuesday July 21, 2009 following a long illness at his home.
Victory was born August 14, 1945 in Belfonte, Ark., to Floyd Haskell and Faye Modiena McDonald Williams. He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended area schools in Labette County.
In 1964 Victory married Martha Irene Madison in Parsons; they later divorced. Victory was in the trucking business and worked for Smith Post Yard Trucking.
