Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Ohio Christian Church in Ohio, Mo. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. today at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute. Arrangements are under the direction of Hill & Son Funeral Home, Appleton City, Mo.

Lloyd E. McKibben, 67, Thayer, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at his home.
He was born July 30, 1941, in Winfield to Jessee H. and Mary Jane Seley McKibben. He graduated from Winfield High School.
He married Lucretia G. Mathews in March 1960 in Newkirk, Okla. She preceded him in death. He married Sharon R. Widener on June 27, 1997, in Winfield. She survives.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He retired from Union 597 Pipefitters of Illinois.

He was reared and educated in Littlefield, Texas, and graduated with the Littlefield High School Class of 1951. He was born Sept. 30, 1936, in Thayer to Franklin Irwin and Gladys Opal Carter Vining. As a young boy, he grew up in Thayer, and later moved with his family to Washington.
