Four Chanute players named to All-SEK Volleyball team
The rosters have been released for the All-SEK volleyball teams, and four players from the sub-state winning Chanute Blue Comets were honored as part of the list. Junior Mallory Flowers and senior Morgan Hudson were both named to the first team, while sophomore setter Katie Martin and freshman Macy Flowers were named to the third team. Prices set for Friday night’s Chanute football game
This Friday’s Sectional Playoff Football game between Chanute and Eudora is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff at the Chanute Sports Complex.
This is a KSHSAA Playoff event, therefore no passes will be accepted. Ticket prices are also set by KSHSAA at $6 for adults and $5 for students.

8th grade Royster girls beat Parsons
The 8th grade Royster “A” basketball team scored a 28-19 victory over Parsons on Monday, Nov. 17.
“We played hard, but we allowed them to get us out of any rhythm offensively,” Coach Steve Slane said. “We’ll continue to improve as the season progresses.”
Anna Bagshaw led Royster in scoring with 15, while Madi Rollins had six points, Paige Kidwell contributed five, and Jordan Schoenberger chipped in with two.

The Neosho County Community College Panthers hit the road on Monday night for the first time this season to take on the Ottawa University Braves JV squad.

Neosho County Community College cross country standout Leslie Rosario came in first place at the Region VI cross country championships on Monday, Oct. 31, with a time of 19:27:50 in the 5K run.
