Parsons boys, Indy girls advance to state
The Parsons boys and Independence girls punched tickets to state on Saturday night at the Parsons 4A Sub-State. Independence held on late and knocked off Labette County 30-28. In the boys title game, Parsons rolled over Columbus 73-53. In a 3A sub-state of interest, Fredonia's girls beat Caney at Neodesha to advance to state.
Area teams fall at sub-state tourneys
Erie's boys basketball team fell 60-54 in OT to Cherryvale on Friday night at the Neodesha 3A Sub-State. St. Paul's boys fell to Crest 43-41 in 2OT at the Southern Coffey County 1A Sub-State. CCA teams finish seasons at state
The Chanute Christian Academy basketball teams traveled to Ark City last week to participate in the KCAA 1A State Tournament. The CCA boys finished third.
