Tribune staff The Chanute Post 170 American Legion baseball team will host the 2010 Paul Lindblad Invitational Tournament from Friday, July 2 to Sunday, July 4 at Katy Park. Teams competing are Chanute, Iola, Burlington, Fort Scott and Osawatomie. The tourney begins on Friday at 6 p.m. when Fort Scott plays Osawatomie. Mid-season champs crowned at Humboldt Speedway
The 2010 mid-season champs were crowned this past weekend at the Humboldt Speedway.
Justin Folk is the mid-season champ in Modified class, Brandon Weide is the Factory Stock mid-season champ and Jeremy Willard is the mid-season champ in Pure Stock. Levi McGowen is the B-Mod mid-season champ.

An elaborate and patriotic pre-game ceremony was held, as members of the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion and the American Legion Riders all participated.
