Humboldt softball wins Friedrich tourney
The Humboldt softball team won the 4-team Lindsey Friedrich Memorial Tournament that it hosted over the weekend. The Lady Cubs won 20-5 over Neodesha and 3-2 win against Yates Center to secure the tournament victory.

Chanute girls first, boys second at Fredonia relays
The Chanute girls track team took first place at the Fredonia Relays on Friday, with 133 points, 50 points more than the second place team West Elk. The boys team won second place at the event with 97 points, 16 points behind first place Caney Valley.

Erie High School golfers were not on top of their game on Tuesday at the Fredonia Invitational Golf Tournament. They finished 5th from a field of seven teams.
