Youth wrestlers advance to state tourney

Chanute will once again send a large contingent to the youth wrestling state tournament. The youth wrestlers advanced with their performances at the district tourney in Topeka last weekend.

Henshall, Aylward named all-state by Eagle, Capital Journal

The honors continue to pile up for Cory Henshall and Ali Aylward.
After receiving first team all-league honors recently, the Chanute High School seniors were both named to the honorable mention all-state basketball teams for Class 4A by the Wichita Eagle and the Topeka Capital Journal newspapers.
Henshall was one of six players from the Southeast Kansas League to be recognized on the Eagle’s team.

St. Paul had its entire starting lineup named to the first team of the 2009-10 All-Three Rivers League girls basketball team.
Senior Jessica Tuck and junior Morgan Westhoff were unanimous selections.
