Humboldt baseball places fourth at 2-1A state baseball tournament

GREAT BEND — After a exhilarating extra-inning, first round win over Olathe-Heritage Christian Academy, the Humboldt baseball team settled for fourth place in the Class 2-1A state baseball tournament.

Down a run in the 10th in the opener, junior Jackson Aikins hit a single, followed by a walk to Dagen Goodner. After the runners both stole a base, junior Taylor Lassman dropped a hit to left field to bring both runners home for the exciting win.
