Lemon, Aylward, Cranor medal at state track

WICHITA — Seniors Reno Lemon and Michael Aylward highlighted the Chanute Blue Comets at the Kansas High School Track & Field Championships while sophomore Mattilyn Cranor topped the girls’ efforts.

Reno earned a fifth place medal in the 3200 and was ninth in the 1600. Aylward, who competed in four events, claimed a sixth place medal in the long jump, just missed a medal in the 110 hurdles, taking ninth, and was 11th in the triple jump. He was a member of the 4x100 relay that was 10th.
