Grace Olive Riley, 86, Chanute, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010 at the Heritage Health Care Center in Chanute.

She was born April 25, 1924 in Nowata, Okla., the daughter of John A. and Myrtle Tuttle Smith. Grace graduated from Commerce High School in 1942.

She married Melvin Riley on June 6, 1942 in Miami, Okla. He preceded her in death.

Grace was a homemaker.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chanute.

Grace is survived by two sons, Franklin Riley and his wife, Connie, Quapaw, Okla., and Lonnie Riley and his wife, Charlene, Chanute; one daughter, Faye Smith and her husband, Harlan, Welch, Okla.; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Melvin, and an infant son, David.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 30 at the Williams Coal Creek Cemetery in rural Miami, Okla., with inurnment to follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Heritage Health Care Activity Fund in care of the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 101 N. Highland, Chanute, Kansas 66720.
