Lucille Morgan-Petty, 93, a longtime resident of Altoona, formerly of Valley Center, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2010 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. She was born Jan. 30, 1917 in Wichita, the daughter of Vonley and Elisabeth Barnes Dennison. Lucille worked at the Wichita Clinic for 20 years.

Lucille was married, in Wichita, to Jesse “Bill” Morgan. He preceded her in death in 1976.

Lucille was a member of the Verdigris Valley Christian Fellowship in Altoona.

Survivors include three children, Wilma Payne, Wichita, Jesse W. Morgan, Jr, East Wenatchee, Wash., Corliss Voncille Matney, Clever, Mo.; a sister, Voney Faye Shelley, Wichita; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren

Funeral will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov, 3, 2010 at the Verdigris Valley Christian Fellowship in Altoona. Burial will be in Altoona Cemetery.
