Kelli Jean Vining, 44, Parsons, died at 5:15 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at her home. She had been in failing health.

She was born Oct. 7, 1966, in Long Beach, Calif., to Donald R. and Patricia E. (Roney) Vining. She later moved with her family to Kansas, where she graduated from Altoona-Midway High School and also received an associate degree from Labette Community College in Parsons.

She and Eric Hohler were married. They later divorced.

Survivors include her mother, Patricia Vining, Thayer; one son, Michael Hohler, Neodesha; two daughters, Amy Hohler, Cherryvale, and Trisha Bowman, Parsons; 11 grandchildren; three brothers, Anthony Vining and William Vining, both of Thayer, and Donald E. Vining, Neodesha; and two sisters, Tina Wheeler and Brenda Cox, both of Thayer.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Vining, on July 2, 2009.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at the Faith United Methodist Church in Parsons. Burial will be in Harrison Cemetery, near Thayer. The family will receive friends from 7p.m to 8 p.m. today at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
