She was born on Aug. 8, 1930, at rural Erie, the daughter of Herb and Elsie Pauline Shellhorn. She attended schools in Erie and graduated from Erie High School.
She married Clyde R. Allmon on Dec. 31, 1967 in Erie. He survives of the home.
She served as the Register of Deeds in Neosho County during the late 1960s and early 1970s.
She was also a housewife and she raised livestock. She enjoyed her animals including cats, sheep, and cattle. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Erie.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Galesburg. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the Pierce-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Erie, where friends may call after 1 p.m. today.
