He was born on Oct. 23, 1919, to Fred and Emma (Pringle) Grisier on the family farm in rural Woodson County. He attended rural school at the New York Valley School until eighth grade. He graduated from Yates Center High School in 1939.
He married Alice Louise Umholtz on April 4, 1948. She survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Richard Grisier, Joe Grisier and Rodney Grisier, all of Yates Center, and George Grisier; one daughter, Marcia Burns, Clearwater; a sister, Mary Joerg, Manhattan; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at the Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center, with interment to follow in Kalida Cemetery.
