Erma Lucille Duff, 86, Thayer, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010 at the Chanute Health Care Center.
Erma was born in Scott County, Kan., on May 31, 1924, the daughter of George and Grace Bush Graham. She graduated from Shallow Water High School in 1942.
She was united in marriage to Donald E. Duff on May 6, 1944. He survives.
Erma worked at the Courthouse in Scott City, and was a secretary for the Thayer School System. She retired from Kansas Corporation Commission.
She was a member of the Thayer Christian Church and led Christian Studies for young women and taught Sunday School.
She and Don loved traveling and visited a majority of the United States.
Along with her husband Don, she is survived by three daughters, Judy D. Osborn and her husband, David, Thayer, Linda L. Hughes and her husband, Bill, Thayer, and Becky J. Hastings and her husband, Rick, Olathe; a son, Greg Duff and his wife, Kathy, Thayer; a son-in-law, David Troutman, Fort Scott; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Crist and her husband, Wilford, and Jean Burgess and her husband, Keith, all of Scott City; a sister-in-law, Patsy Graham, Scott City; and a brother-in-law, Albert Dean, Scott City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Beverly Jo Troutman, a sister, Mary Alice Dean; and a brother, Tom Graham.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3 at the Thayer Christian Church. Burial will follow in Thayer Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until noon at the church.
Memorials in her name may be made to the Thayer Christian Church and may be left with the funeral home.
