Stephen Lyle Craig, 56, Dodge City, died Monday, Nov. 30, 2010 at the Via Christi St. Francis Campus in Wichita.

Stephen was born in Wichita on March 31, 1954, the son of Ernest Craig and Mary Goss Locke. He graduated from Chanute High School in 1972.

He married Debbie Jaynes on Jan. 29, 1977 in Erie. They later divorced.

Stephen was a truck driver for more than 25 years.

He loved watching the Kansas City Chiefs football, K-State, and WSU. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also collected coins and old money.

Stephen is survived by two daughters, Jennifer and her husband, Forrest Thieman, Chanute and Sasha Craig, Chanute; two grandsons, Brent Slocum and Hunter Thieman; and four granddaughters, Paige Kidwell, Megan Thieman, Lexi Kidwell, and Baylee Kidwell.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3 at Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorials in his name may be made to the Special Olympics and may be left with the funeral home.
