Kenneth Phillip Beemer, 92, rural Fredonia, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010 at his home. He was born Oct. 12, 1918 at the family home west of Lafontaine, to Guy and Eda Thomas Beemer. Kenneth lived his entire life west of Lafontaine, where he had a farming and cattle business.

On Feb.1, 1941, he married Betty Jean Shinkle in Fredonia. She preceded him in death on May 18, 2006.

Kenneth was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fredonia.

Survivivor’s include a daughter, Jeanean Wright, Altoona; a son, Kelsey Beemer, Havre, Mont.; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. today, Dec. 21 at Timmons Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Fredonia City Cemetery. Memorials have been established in Kenneth’s name with the American Heart Association and the Parkinson’s Foundation and can be sent Timmons Funeral Home, PO Box 168, Fredonia, KS, 66736.
