JoAnn “Jody” Colliver Falk, 76, Chanute, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2010 at the Heritage Health Care Center in Chanute, where she had been a resident for one year.

Jody was born in Springfield, Ohio on Oct. 15, 1934, the daughter of Emmett and Martha Earnhart Colliver. She graduated from Field Kindley High School.

She was united in marriage to Jerry Falk on Jan. 29, 1980 in Topeka.

She was a homemaker.

Jody was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Chanute.

Jody is survived by her husband of 30 years, Jerry; a son, Van Stewart, Hutchinson; a brother, Richard “Dick” Colliver, Long Beach, Calif.; a sister, Linda Colliver, Parkville, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martha and Benny, and a brother Charlie.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Heritage Health Care Center, Southern Care Hospice, Neosho County Memorial Hospital, and the congregation of the First Presbyterian Church and Pastor Shelly Holle. Your love and support will never be forgotten.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23 at the First Presbyterian Church in Chanute. Interment will be at 1 p.m. at Restlawn Cemetery in Coffeyville.

The family will receive friends today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel in Chanute.

Memorials in her name may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Heritage Health Care Center and may be left at the funeral home.
