Gladys Lillian Roberts, 92, Chanute, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Heritage Nursing Home.

She was born Jan. 16, 1916, in Berwyn, Ill., to William Barrett and Lillian Divoki Larson.

She received her certificate as a kitchen supervisor in the restaurant industry.

Survivors include her children, Florence Metz, Leavenworth, Joyce Wilhite, Emporia, Gerald Roberts Jr., Blue Springs, Mo., Claude Roberts, Chanute, and Lillian Naylor, Topeka; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Bittenbender, Delaware.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Steve Errett; two brothers, William Larson Jr., and Richard Larson; and a sister, Irene Neill.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Chanute. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Kansas City, Mo., under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel.

Contributions to Zion Lutheran Church and the Girl Scouts and may be made in care of the funeral home.
