Iva Alice Erbe Bachelder, 90, Tomball, Texas, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010 at The Heritage Retirement Community in Tomball. She was born Nov. 7, 1920 in Wilson County, Kan., the daughter of Edward and Iva Carol Newland Erbe. She was retired from Tex-Sun Corporation in Weslaco where she was a bookkeeper for more than 25 years.

On January 16, 1942, Iva was joined in marriage to Jesse Ward Bachelder. He preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1991.

Survivors include five children, Jess Bachelder, Spring, Texas, Virginia Clark, Houston, Nancy Rayburn, Spring, Texas, Mike Bachelder, Cheyenne, Wyo., Pat Bachelder, Cedar Park, Texas; a sister, Edna Ruth Erbe, Wilmington, N.C.; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29 at the Harrison Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Timmons Funeral Home, Fredonia, from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening,
