Flossie Ruth Doyle, 82, Yates Center, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 at her home.

Flossie was born Jan. 20, 1928 to Thomas and Emma Rosie Bulk Brodman at their farm outside of Yates Center. She attended Mt. Pisgah District 13 School and then Yates Center schools, graduating from Yates Center High School in 1945.

On May 1, 1951 she was united in marriage to Hugh Byington Doyle. He preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1985.

Flossie was a life-long member of the Yates Center United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Sheila Newland, Victoria, Texas; three brothers, Calvin Brodman, Yates Center, Earl Brodman, Grand Island, Neb., and Melvin Brodman, Tempe, Ariz.

She was also preceded in death by infant Jack Wayne and adult son Pat Wayne.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2010 at Yates Center Cemetery. The family will gather to greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center.
