George William “Bill” Winans, 67, Desoto, died March 14, 2008.
He was born June 6, 1940, at the rural home of his parents, Verle O. and Anna W. Hudson Winans, Erie.
Survivors include five children, Clayton Winans, Los Angeles, Calif., Brian Winans, McClure, Ill., Derek Winans, Cape Girardeau, Mo., Elizabeth and Darren Winans, of the home in DeSoto; three sisters, Helen Gough, Hutchinson, Verla Niquette, Wichita, and Vera Vitt, St. Paul; and a brother, Jerry Winans, Muncie, Ind.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19 at Lakeview Cemetery, Erie. Cremation was handled by Cedar Crest Memorial, DeSoto
