Virginia Eloise Cutler Baxter, 79, Buffalo, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011 at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute.

Virginia was born in Buffalo on Nov. 18, 1931, the daughter of Jake J. and Virginia E. Rice Cutler. She graduated from Buffalo High School.

She was united in marriage to Delmar D. Baxter on June 3, 1963 in Wichita. He preceded her in death.

Virginia worked as an administrator for The Boeing Company in Wichita, retiring in 1993.

She is survived by two sisters, Eleta Jackie Orrick, of Kansas City, Mo., and Elpha Jill Hall, Bedford, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Ramona Cox and Gwendolyn Stevens, and four nephews.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5 at the First Christian Church in Chanute. Burial will follow in the Buffalo Cemetery.

The family will receive friends this evening from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel. Memorials in her name may be made to First Christian Church of Chanute and may be left with the funeral home.
