Pauline E. Drisdell, 89, Chanute, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Elm Haven West Nursing Home, Parsons.
She was born Jan. 12, 1919, in Chanute to Jess B. and Iva Allen Dent. She grew up in Chanute, graduating from Chanute High School in 1936.
She married Millard W. Drisdell on April 13, 1941, in North Little Rock, Ark. He died Jan. 27, 2006.
The Drisdells owned and operated Drisdell’s Studio in Chanute for 33 years. She was also the owner of Jennifer’s Fashions.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Rita Drisdell, Parsons; a granddaughter and her husband, Jennifer and Todd Taylor, Chanute; a grandson, Tyler Drisdell, Parsons; two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Haley Taylor, Chanute; a sister, Georgianna Hathaway, Chanute; and a brother and sister-in-law, Everett and Margie Dent, Roche Port, Mo.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Genevieve Nicholson and Leona Whinnery.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
