Nancy Ruth Greve, 70, Chanute, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2011 at her home.
Nancy was born in Seminole, Okla., on June 7, 1940, the daughter of Edgar and Ida Parsons Ramsey. She graduated from Chanute High School in 1959.
She was united in marriage to Merle Greve on August 6, 1960 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute. He survives, of the home.
Nancy was a homemaker and worked in partnership with her husband in their farming and cattle operation.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where she played the organ in the 1970’s, and taught religion classes. She also played the organ at St. Ambrose Church in Erie for two and a half years.
Along with her husband, Merle, she is survived by two children, Glen Greve and Brenda Greve, both of Chanute; three grandsons, Nick Greve, Chris Greve and Matt Greve; a sister, Etta Mae Gamble, Wichita; and a brother, Edgar J. Ramsey Jr., Centralia, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Johnny R. Greve and Tommy G. Greve.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Memorials in her name may be made to National Liver Foundation and may be left with the funeral home.
