Verna Mae Devine, 84, Iola, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at Windsor Place Nursing Center in Iola.
Verna was born Oct. 16, 1926, in Humboldt, the daughter of William Fred and Mary Estes Collison Moore.
Survivors include a sister Phyllis Stroud, Topeka; and sister-in-law Norma Jewell Moore, Iola; and nephew and niece.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse “Jake” Devine.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m Monday, Feb. 7 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Iola. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the church.
Inurnment will be at a later date in Mount Hope Cemetery in Humboldt.
Memorials are suggested to Wesley United Methodist Church or Allen County Hospice and may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola.
