Word has been received of the death of Floyd “Buzz Heaton on Feb. 4 in Weslaco, Texas. He was born in rural Chanute and attended Chanute Senior High.

He served in the Navy for two years and worked for the federal government until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Mary, a daughter Rhonda and a son Kent. He was preceded in death by a son Brian, his parents Hurley and Della Heaton, and brothers, Loren, Robert and Charles, and sister LaVeta Heaton.

Delpha R. Dietrich, 83, Humboldt, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011 at the Arrowood Lane Residential Care Facility in Humboldt.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Humboldt. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Rosary will be recited on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the church.
