Althea Pearl Baker, 76, lifelong resident of Fredonia, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2011 at the Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita. Althea was born on Nov. 21, 1934 in Fredonia, the daughter of Alva W. and Pearl Butner Lambert.

Althea was a graduate of Fredonia High School. On May 17, 1953 she married Clinton Frank Baker in Fredonia. He preceded her in death in May of 2008.

Althea was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Corner Stone Christian Church of Fredonia.

Althea is survived by five children, Mark Baker, Fredonia, Glen Baker, Fredonia, Brenda Heins, Cozad, Neb., Burke Baker, Fredonia, Dana Hobbs, Buffalo; a brother, Kenny Lambert, Fredonia; sisters

Jo Shue, Fredonia, Esther Friend, Fredonia, Judy Lambert, Fredonia; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17 at Countryside Funeral in Fredonia. Burial to follow at the Weakley Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 5 to 6:30 P.M. Memorials have been suggested to either the Cornerstone Christian Church, Saddle Pals Handicap Riding Program or the Fredonia Assembly of God Royal Rangers and may be left with the funeral home, Countryside Funeral Home 420 S. 20th St., P.O.
