Kenneth Lee Winkleman, 72, Cherryvale, died Monday, July 14, 2008, at St. John’s Medical Center, Tulsa, Okla.

He was born Jan. 13, 1936, in Deer Creek, Okla., to Frank and Francis Rossman Winkleman.

In 1957 he married Freda Lindsay in Bartlesville, Okla. She survives.

He was employed as a repairman for Heartland Cement until his retirement.

Other survivors include a son, Rick Winkleman, Independence; a daughter, Della Holt, Independence; a sister, Mary Honeyman, Stillwell, Okla.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Potts Chapel, Independence. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at the family home, 2965 W. 5400 Street, Cherryvale.

Contributions to the American Cancer Society may be made in care of the funeral home.
