Beulah Mae Heller, 95, Humboldt, died Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Pinecrest Nursing Home in Humboldt.

Beulah was born June 24, 1915 in Independence, the daughter of George Myron and Nona Iola Freiermuth Burtnett. She grew up in Iola and graduated from Iola High School in 1933.

On August 12, 1935, Beulah married Frank P. Heller in Nevada, Mo. They made their home in Oswego until his death on Oct. 30, 1980. She moved to Humboldt in 1981.

Survivors include a sister, Mary Alice Carey, Humboldt; a lifetime friend, Floy Nelson, Iola; and three sons.

Heller will lie in state at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola on today and Saturday morning.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Humboldt. Memorials are suggested to Humboldt Senior Center and may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola.
