Larry Lee Kessler was born July 28, 1945 at Parsons, the son of Buford and Dorothy Sears Kessler. He attended Chanute schools.
Following his schooling he joined the United States Air Force and served from 1962 until his discharge in 1966.
Kessler worked at a saw mill in the St. Paul area for a time and later worked as a camper builder with Nu-Wa Industries until his retirement in 2008.
On July 15, 1967 at Erie, he was united in marriage to Betty Isaacs. She survives, at the home.
Additional survivors include a son, Brad Kessler, and a daughter, Lisa Kessler, both of Chanute; two grandchildren; and four brothers, Gary Kessler, Cherryvale, Tom Pugh, Shaw, C.C. Collins and Jerry Collins, both of Tulsa, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Collins, twin daughters, Sharla Ann and Angela Lynn Kessler, and a brother Dan Shaw.
Cremation has taken place and memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Healing Center Church of God, on West 35th Street. Inurment will be at the Neosho County Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will greet friends at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
The family has suggested memorials to the American Cancer Society and will be received at the funeral home.
