Margaret M. Grillot, 84, St. Paul, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Prairie Mission Retirement Village in St. Paul. 

She was born March 1, 1927, in Parsons, to James Patrick and Mary M. O’Connor O’Hara. She grew up and attended schools in Parsons and was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School. 

On May 27, 1951 she and Joseph Edward “Eddie” Grillot were married at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Parsons. He preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 2005.

She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul.

Survivors include five sons, Joseph “Joe” Grillot, Chanute,      Dave Grillot, Pittsburg, Jim Grillot, Olathe, Tom Grillot, St. Paul, Randy Grillot, Olathe; three daughters, Peggy Wunderly, Fort Scott, Nancy Foster, Pomona, Becky Hays, Oswego; 26 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, E.B. “Bud” O’Hara, Denver, Colo., Joe O’Hara, Topeka, Chuck O’Hara, Topeka; three sisters, Elaine Jefferson, Parsons, Betty Cunningham, Olathe, Jeanne Smith, St. Paul.

She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tammy Grillot, and son, Bobby Grillot.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Saturday, April 9 at St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.  The rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church, where the family will receive friends immediately following the rosary.
