Boyd A. “Spoonie” Spoonemore, 79, Neodesha, died Wednesday, April 13 at his home.

Graveside service with military rites will be 10 a.m.. Monday, April 18, at the Neodesha Cemetery under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. Friends can stop by the funeral home to register on Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m.

 Boyd Allen Spoonemore was born on June 19, 1931 in Neodesha, to Elmon and Bessie Kebert Spoonemore.  He attended and graduated high school from Neodesha in 1951.  He worked for 35 years for ADM in Fredonia until his retirement in 1994.  He was a member of the Neodesha First Christian Church.

Boyd married Carlyne Dannels in Ponca City, Okla., on Sept. 3, 1955. She survives, of the home.

Also surviving are three daughters, Debra Mooney, Neodesha, Kim Spoonemore, Richmond, and Anna May, Independence; a sister, Joyce Cook, Neodesha; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The family has suggested memorials to the First Christian Church of Neodesha.
