Gloria Faye Goff, 76, St. Paul, died at Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Labette Health, Parsons.

She was born Feb. 28, 1935, a daughter of Stanley Whitworth and Loretta June Whitworth Harding. She grew up and attended school in rural Neosho County.

She met and married Virgil L. Goff on Dec. 23, 1952 at Huntsville, Ark. She worked 32 years at the Home Savings Bank at Chanute, retiring as secretary and treasurer.

Gloria was a long-time member of the Stark United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Southeast KS Group of Financial Women International. She held several group offices and was group president in 1989-1990. She also served on the Kansas Saving and Loan League Institute board of directors and was a director of the Home Savings Association board. She was a past president of the Women’s Division of the Chanute Area Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include a son, Steven N. Goff and his wife, Josie, Chicago, Ill.; two daughters, Sandi Niehoff and her husband, John, Loveland, Colo.; Loretta A. Sears, St. Paul; eight grandchildren, Brandi James, Loveland, Colo., Adam Goff, Chicago, Ill., Misty Kiser, Yampa, Colo., Heidi Houston, Parsons, Tiffani Sears, St. Paul, Mackenzie Sears, St. Paul, Sam Abughanam, Chicago, Ill., Nicole Sears, St. Paul; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janie Kennedy, rural Erie, Judy Clement, Sarcoxie, Mo.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and her husband.

Following cremation, memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 26 at the Stark United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call after 9: a.m. Wednesday to register. Memorials are suggested to the Stark United Methodist Church or to the Stark High School Alumni Association.
