Betty Louise Blaker, 76, New Albany, died Thursday, January 8, 2009, at Golden Living Center in Neodesha.
She was born Jan. 31, 1932, in New Albany to Melvin and Ruby Richards Anderson. She was a 1950 graduate of Fredonia High School.
She married Ivan L. Blaker on Aug. 18, 1950, in Fredonia. He survives.
She was a homemaker, baby-sitter and Avon representative.
She was a member of the Burrton United Methodist Church and New Albany United Methodist Church.
Other survivors include two daughters, Laura Henderson, Fredonia, and Susan Blouch, Newton; a foster daughter, Debbie Grow, Burrton; a foster son, Mike Adams, Springfield, Mo,.; three brothers, Don Anderson, Fredonia, Melvin C. “Bud” Anderson, New Albany, and Richard D. Anderson, Ash Grove, Mo.; three sisters, Joan Houchin, Fredonia, Irene Lakin, Augusta, and Nancy Wescott, Willard, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Anderson, and a sister, Melba Hosier.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at New Albany United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Weakley Cemetery near New Albany under the direction of Timmons Funeral Home, Fredonia.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
