Bea was born at Ft. Madison, Iowa on June 21, 1925, the daughter of Ross and Catherine Temborius Saddler. She graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School in Ft. Madison, Iowa in 1943.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Humboldt.
Bea is survived by two sons; Paul Hottenstein, Jr., and wife, Linda, Cedar Hill, Texas, and Richard Hottenstein and wife, Timmee, Humboldt; four daughters, Mary Hess, LaHarpe, Liz Hottenstein, Humboldt, Linda Thummel and husband, Bob, Puyallup, Wash., and Diane Hiser and husband, Robin, Independence; one sister, Sister Ruth Saddler, SSND, St. Louis, Mo.; six grandsons, Michael Thummel, Puyallup, Wash., Rick Hottenstein, Jr., Humboldt, Brian Hess, Wichita, Brandon Hiser, Independence, Brett Hess, Milwaukee, Wis., and Paul Hottenstein, III, Cedar Hill, Texas; six granddaughters, Leslie Luman, Chanute, Stephanie Woodward, Vancouver, Canada, Michelle Hawkins, Nixa, Mo., Lisa Hugo, Independence, Bobbie Haviland, Humboldt, and Loni Wilhite, Humboldt; and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, John Ryan Hottenstein, three sisters, Mildred Saddler, Rosemary Saddler, and Gladys Salata-Harry, and one son-in-law, Chuck Hess.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 4 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Humboldt. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Humboldt.
Rosary will be recited on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the church.
The family will receive friends on Friday at the parish hall following the Rosary.
Memorials in her name may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church and may be left with the funeral home.
