Florence Lisetta Naff, 95, former resident of Girard, died Sunday, July 31, 2011, at the Fort Scott Medicalodge. She was born May 26, 1916, in Brazilton, the daughter of Oscar Henery and Martha E. L. Detjen Koester.

Florence married Ryburn Naff on March 23, 1943. He preceded her in death in 1977. She was a member of the Girard First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and the Crawford County Farm Bureau. Florence was an excellent cook and seamstress. She loved dancing and gardening.

Survivors include one brother, Harold Koester and wife, Ruth, Fort Scott; two nephews, James Naff and wife, Shirley, Chanute, Kenney Koester, Fort Scott; three nieces, Rebecca Brazil, Dillon, Colo., Kara Koester, Germantown, Tenn., and Kristin Koester, Kansas City. Also surviving is her special friend and caregiver, Marge Ralph and husband, Don, Farlington. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Floyd Koester.

The Rev. Steve Cole will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Girard United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Girard Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
