Carter Wayne Bohling, 63, Wichita Falls, Texas, died over the Thanksgiving holiday, November, 2011.
Carter was born Dec. 20, 1947 in Chanute, to Richard Herman and Betty Lee Whitworth Bohling. He served our country proudly as a member of the 1st Cavalry and Special Forces in Vietnam with the U.S. Army and retired as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force on July 15, 1991. He worked for the Texas Department of Public Safety from 1992-2005, and was a Texas Ranger.
He is survived by his son James Todd Bohling, Taipei, Taiwan; a brother, Michael Bohling, Topeka; a sister, Beverly Rice, Lenexa; five nieces and nephews; and a stepdaughter, Amanda Landis, Wichita Falls. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie, in December 2010, his parentsk and a brother, Richard LaRue Bohling.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9 in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
